The things that keep us aligned as a studio.

Booking, Credits & Cancellations

When you book a class or purchase a pack or membership, you agree to the booking terms below. Please check your available credits and booking time before attending.

Classes and Credits

  • Bookings must be made via our booking platform in advance.

  • Once a class has been booked, a credit is reserved for your spot.

  • Credits cannot be transferred between people unless agreed by Sojourn Pilates.

Cancellations, Late Arrivals & No-Shows

  • Over 24 hrs notice to cancel: credit is returned.

  • Within 24 hrs of class start: credit is lost.

  • Within 12 hrs of class start: credit is lost and a £5 late-cancellation fee applies.

  • No-show (no cancellation): credit is lost and a £5 fee applies.

  • Late arrival policy: doors are locked at class start time. Entry is permitted up to 5 minutes after start (please knock and wait for the instructor). After 5 minutes, entry will not be permitted, to protect your safety and the experience of other participants.

1:1 Consultation Requirement

A private 30-minute one-to-one consultation (£20) is required before joining group classes if:

  • You are rehabbing an injury or have a spinal condition.

  • You are pregnant and attending non-heated classes only (except where stated otherwise in class descriptions).

Suitability & Health

You must ensure you are medically cleared to participate in Pilates classes at Sojourn Pilates. If you have a health condition, injury, pregnancy, or any doubt, please seek advice from your GP or physiotherapist. We reserve the right to request documentation or prohibit class booking if suitability is unclear.

Equipment & Studio Etiquette

  • Grip socks are mandatory for all reformer classes. You may bring your own or purchase a pair in-studio (from £5 up to £15).

  • Please arrive at least 5 minutes before class start time to check in and settle.

  • Water is required; towels are advisable for heated classes.

  • Devices should be on silent and filming during class is not permitted unless pre-approved.

Memberships & Packs

Memberships and class packs are subject to their specific terms (validity, expiry, non-transferability). Purchase of a membership binds you to that product's conditions. Package details are available on our pricing page.

Refunds & Changes

  • Classes or packages are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances as determined by Sojourn Pilates.

  • We reserve the right to cancel or change any class schedule. If we cancel a class and it cannot be rescheduled, your credit will be returned.

  • We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Heated & Infrared Classes

Some classes are designated as heated or infrared. Participation may have additional suitability requirements (for example, not suitable during pregnancy or with certain health conditions). Please check the individual class description before booking.

Infrared sessions are held at gentle temperatures of up to 38°C, designed to support recovery, circulation and deep muscle release without feeling overly hot or humid. Infrared classes are included in all memberships and packages, with no monthly limit on how many you can attend, and can also be booked as one-off sessions through our pricing page.

If infrared isn't your preference, you don't need to use your credits towards those classes. Our non-heated sessions remain the foundation of our schedule.

Infrared classes are not suitable for pregnancy during any trimester, injuries not signed off by a GP or physiotherapist, disc herniation or bulging disc, severe osteoporosis, or acute inflammation or back pain. Please review each class description carefully before booking.

Liability & Safety

You agree to follow our instructor guidance, studio rules and equipment setup instructions. Sojourn Pilates and its team cannot take responsibility for injury or loss arising from failure to follow instructions or for pre-existing medical conditions. Attend classes at your own risk and ensure you are healthy and cleared to participate.
