A Boutique Pilates Studio Designed for Nervous System Reset.

Movement, community and warmth, considered together, in Broughton Astley, Leicestershire.

Inspired by the studios we love in Manchester and LA, every detail here is considered for one reason: to help your nervous system settle, so your body can move well.

Small classes, warm light and space, considered sound.

Rooted in community, built for balance.

Your space to recharge

From the lighting to the heat to the sound, every element of the studio is a deliberate input to your nervous system. Research on design, exposure, breath and infrared heat all points in the same direction: the environment a class happens in shapes how your body responds to the movement inside it.

  • Warm candlelight inside Sojourn Pilates studio, Broughton Astley. The softly lit atmosphere mirrors the calming, parasympathetic feel of an infrared Pilates class.

    Infrared Heat

Infrared panels warm the body directly, supporting circulation, easing held tension and giving the parasympathetic nervous system a softer landing. Used as a deliberate modality, not a gimmick.

  • The hydration station at Sojourn Pilates in Broughton Astley: glass tumblers arranged beside a botanical-infused water dispenser, softly lit by the studio window.

    Hydration & accessories

Alkaline water, considered post-class drinks and high-quality props, chosen to support how you move, hydrate and recover.

  • Sojourn Pilates studio detail: arched mirrors carrying the affirmations Energy Shift, Happy Here and Finding Flow, beside infrared therapy lights.

    Considered lighting

Warm, dimmable and circadian-aligned. Daylight-mimicking lamps and tunable smart bulbs replace harsh overhead light, supporting your circadian rhythm and lowering visual arousal before class begins.

    Six Reformers

Small classes mean your instructor can see you. Predictable structure and a considered pace make the room feel safe enough for the body to settle, then work.

In Good Company.

Our retail edit is curated with intention. Largely female-founded, function-first and made by people we know and trust.

Studio Principles

A few small principles that keep our space calm, our classes running well and every visit feeling considered. If anything isn't clear before you book, email support@sojournpilates.com.

  • The studio opens 10 minutes before class. Give yourself time to park, change and settle in, around 15 minutes ahead of class is the sweet spot. If it's your first time with us, please allow an extra 10 minutes for a quick reformer intro.

The studio door locks at class start. Late entry is permitted up to 5 minutes after the start (knock and wait). After 5 minutes, entry isn't possible and the class will be treated as a no-show. Arriving early ensures we can start on time, keep everyone safe and help you get the most from your session.

  • Grip socks, water and comfortable, fitted clothing. We sell Melisoles grip socks (£15) and Myga grip socks (£5) in studio if you'd rather pick them up on the day. Avoid loose or flowy fabrics that could catch in the reformer springs or carriage. For infrared classes, a small towel is recommended.

  • You'll be asked to complete a short PAR-Q health form before your first booking confirms, this takes about two minutes. If you're managing an injury, spinal condition or are pregnant, please see the next section before booking.

  • If you're managing an injury, spinal condition or are pregnant, please email support@sojournpilates.com before booking. While some instructors can offer safe modifications, certain conditions require a 30-minute 1:1 Movement Analysis (£20) to check suitability before joining group classes.

All second and third-trimester pregnancies, as well as some injuries, must complete this session first to ensure safety and suitability. Infrared classes are not suitable at any stage of pregnancy.

Postpartum clients should wait 6 to 8 weeks after birth (or 12 weeks following a C-section) and have GP or health professional clearance before attending.

  • This is your time for you. Out of respect for everyone who moves at Sojourn, we ask that all devices are left on silent and stored away during class.

  • If you can't make class, please cancel with as much notice as you can so someone else can take your spot.

Cancellations with more than 24 hours notice will return your credit in full. Within 24 hours, the credit is lost. Within 12 hours, or in the case of a no-show, the credit is lost and a £5 fee applies. Arriving more than 5 minutes after class start is treated as a no-show.

Meet the Team

Our small team, and the way they care for the space and the people in it, are the core of our community at Sojourn.

Each brings their own style. Across Pilates, women's health and movement science, our collective knowledge and experience drive what we do here. Like all of us, each instructor has their own personal connection to balance, and it is that, paired with a deep understanding of the body and movement, that shapes every class.
